The History Of Pokemon Regions goes all the way back to the year 1996 when Pokemon Red and Blue was sold in Japan and in 1998 they eventually made their way here.  But Japan also received something we didn’t get Pokemon Green.

Although we don’t have a complete collection we got Pokemon Yellow + (Special Pikachu Edition) which really was a blast. Even I sometimes play it today because I just can’t get enough of it.  And all 4 of those games covered the first ever announced region with 151 Pokemon the Kanto Region.

It wasn’t long before the next region was to be stated for in the year 2000 Pokemon Gold and Silver was released introducing 100 more awesome Pokemon and new features which would change the generation of Pokemon games forever.  They were just too cool and the master game behind these two Pokemon Games was Pokemon Crystal but on the front cover though I was expecting Celebi…

But Suicune was not that bad and people still loved the game.  Pokemon Crystal is much harder but also much better than Pokemon Gold and Silver put together.  The best part about all of these 3 games is that you could trade Pokemon to games from the Kanto Region but only Pokemon from the Kanto Region.  And this created Pokemon Johto!

Now we go onto to the year 2003 when the all popular Ruby and Sapphire games came out.  Though these games were compatible on a GBA(SP) (GameBoy Advance) the coolest thing about the GBA was that games on the GameBoy Colour could also be played on it.  Ruby and Sapphire introduce side effects to battles and sometimes when you have the advantage in type you could lose as if it was the other way round.

Ruby and Sapphire introduces 135 new Pokemon which creates the Hoenn Region and making a total of 386 Pokemon in the world. The Pokemon representing Ruby is Groudon and Sapphire is Kyogre.  These Pokemon fighted long ago in a raging war with such an endless battle however, it was said the war would stop if a Pokemon so strong would come from the sky and let these Pokemon have peace between them.  Though you could only go in the game to work it out the master behind the two games reveals it all.

When Pokemon Emerald comes out it disappears from the shops not soon after because of its convincing ads and awesome screenshots.  Rayquaza the Pokemon that would stop Groudon and Kroger’s war represented Emerald and it definitely stopped any war about what Pokemon to catch because in this game you could catch Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza which is awesome.

Pokemon Emerald also comes with little movements to Pokemon plus stunning scenes and realistic battles.  Nothing could possibly beat Pokemon Emerald now until………………..

Another Region came out featuring Munchlax, Lucario, Bonsly, Mime Jr, Weavile, Manafi, Perappu, Buizeru, Tamanta, Diaruga, Parukia and so much more comes out.  Even though they haven’t been released yet Pokemon Diamond And Pearl definately has proven to be the best games ever as the Pokemon Fans are going nuts over its release date and the new Pokemon featured.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are represented by Diaruga and Parukia (Japanese) even though they aren’t in English I’ve managed to get a little information on the new ones and pictures.  It is unknown how much new Pokemon are featured in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl because they keep coming but the region they are featured in is stated as Shinou.

It is said that Pokemon Diamond and Pearl will be in Japan on September 28th, 2006.  After the long wait all Poke’ Fans who want this game on their Nintendo DS only hope that the game was worth the wait!
