TCG fans listen up,

The new Diamond and Pearl Pokemon Trading Cards are finally here featuring over 50 new Pokemon to the Trading Card Series and also 120 Pokemon Card in the whole sets the Pokemon TCG will be taken to a whole new level.

There is so much more new updates in this new set of cards and one obvious one is the cover of a card.  As you can on the Dusknoir Card its level is displayed (like it was in the first series of the Trading Card sets) at the top of the card next to its name.  This shows how strong a Pokemon is and now it can easier to judge how strong a card is!

Another update is a new card type LV. X. Now instead of Pokemon EX there is LV. X and just like Pokemon EX these aren’t normal cards.  LV. X must be placed on top of its same form (you can see the "Place on top of Torterra" it because the wrinting is too small to read) It is located on the Torterra Card LV X Card under its name where it reads LEVEL UP!

With LV. X you only increase the level of a Pokemon that you want to become X so with LV. X, you can use the same abilities that the previous level was allowed to use.

Also another noticeable difference is that now you have “+” next to Weakness and “-” next to the Resistance.  This makes it easier for Gameplay and allows a more realistic damage effect when playing with different types of cards! 

Basically the “plus sign” means you add that much more damage if the Pokemon’s type was the symbol it shows and the “minus sign” means you subtract that shown damage if the Pokemon’s type was the symbol it shows!  Look at the card of Magnezone if you need a bit of help understanding the new Weakness and Resistance meanings…

There will be 3 theme decks in this series named Terra Firma featuring Torterra, Inferno Zone featuring Infernape and the Royal Frost featuring Empoleon.  The 3 theme decks are based around the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Starter-Stage 2 Pokemon!
